Our expertise is derived from a dedicated team of specialists. The Floorcovering Division has 24 people. The 3 senior managers have a combined 80 years
of industry experience and 40 years with bkm, complimented by a staff of 21 with
an average tenure of 10 years.
Installation is mainly provided by dedicated teams of flooring sub-contractors.
This sub-contract model is used by all major flooring companies in Connecticut.
The unique benefit for bkm and its customers is that the sub-contractors work
primarily for bkm. We provide flooring subcontractors with OSHA General Industry
Outreach training on an on-going basis. Because of our volume, we are able to
utilize most of our sub-contractors on a year-round basis. This also provides us
with better quality control and daily communication with them.
Interested in recycling your old carpet?
We can offer you a recycling program for the old carpet if you are
environmentally conscience or need to meet certain recycling goals. Some fibers
will be recycled in a "closed loop" process that transforms used carpet fibers
into brand new nylon carpet yarn. Other fibers and backings will be recycled for
use in new consumer and industrial parts, or converted from waste to energy.
Carpet recycling contributes to the LEED rating earned in renovation projects.
