Our Environmentally Responsive Interiors (ERI) division focuses on remanufacturing, refurbishing and reupholstering furniture. All work is performed in Connecticut in a 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility. This division, in existence for more than 20 years, is an important component of our environmental responsibility. We recognized the need early, invested heavily, and now are a leader.

Remanufactured furniture provides customers with two main benefits. It provides a lower cost alternative than new furniture but with the quality and durability of higher priced new furniture and it helps organizations meet sustainability goals.

"Prevo", is our branded systems product consisting of remanufactured Steelcase conventional 9000 panels and new components such as binder bins, work surfaces and pedestals. Totally remanufactured product is also available to meet your organization's sustainability goals. In addition, we can remanufacture or refurbish your existing product. Remanufactured systems furniture, work surfaces and all components have been specially designed and manufactured to meet or exceed ANSI-BIFMA standards for safety and stability. Our process for remanufacturing panels has been UL approved. This low cost alternative can transform your office environment without destroying your budget.

While remanufacturing involves repainting using a powder coated process with baked on finish, re-laminating and repairing furniture, refurbishing involves a lower cost alternative. Generally, it involves repairing and providing cosmetic improvement. We can provide the product or work with you and your product.

Re-upholstery represents the third component of transforming office furniture from old and ugly to new and beautiful. Recovery Zone is the ERI division responsible for executing the transformation. Led by a seasoned re-upholstery expert, we evaluate your situation, recommend fabrics based on usage requirements, quote, pickup and redeliver the completed product back to your location to your satisfaction
